What this is
The Build Session is a quote conversation you can see. Instead of emailing you a mysterious number, we walk through screens together: what your bottleneck costs you, what the system would look like, and the real prices — line by line — while you pick what you want.
You're not doing this alone. I'm on the call with you the whole time, driving the screens and asking the questions. You have not ordered anything yet. Tapping the cards orders nothing, charges nothing, promises nothing.
What we do
Nimbus builds small custom business software — the tracker, portal, booking system or dashboard that fits how you already work. Then we maintain it: backups every night, security patches applied, it stays online, small changes when you need them.
That upkeep is the flat monthly plan. You never have to think about servers, updates, or "is it backed up?" — that's what the plan is for.
What you do
Nothing — except talk. This isn't a form you fill out alone. I'm on the call with you, walking you through every screen and asking the questions myself: about your day, your paperwork, your tools, where things fall through the cracks. By the end I have a full profile of how your business actually runs.
Your only jobs: answer honestly, and interrupt me the moment something doesn't make sense. If a screen needs your numbers, I'll tell you which ones and where to find them.
What you'd be signing up for
If we proceed: a fixed-price build (the range shows here first; the exact number is in the proposal) with half paid up front to book your slot — non-refundable, and we say so in writing every time before you pay it — and half at launch. Then the monthly care plan, month to month.
And the part that matters most: the software is 100% yours from the day it launches — the code and the data, both.
If you ever cancel the care plan, nothing is switched off and nothing is held hostage. The system keeps working. You can run it yourself, hand it to any other tech guy, or come back later — all yours either way. Leaving is a phone call, not a hostage negotiation. Your data exports free, in standard formats, whenever you ask — even on day one, even while you're leaving.
About the price: no number lands on your screen without me explaining what it buys and where it comes from. If it feels expensive when we get there — say so, out loud. That's not an awkward moment; that's the conversation working. We can shrink the scope, stage it in phases, or compare it against what you're already spending until it makes sense or we honestly agree it doesn't.
"But what if…"
…you disappear? The software runs on standard, popular technology that any competent developer can pick up — deliberately, so you're never stuck with code only one person understands. And it's backed up every night, so your data is safe no matter what.
…prices go up? Your care plan price is locked for your first year. Any change after that comes in writing, 60 days before it happens. No surprise line items.
…my customers' information? Yours, in a standard database, exportable free whenever you want. We don't claim "unlimited security" — we tell you exactly what's protected and how.
…I'm signing something today? You're not. This session sends an email summary, at most. The contract comes later, in plain language, and you read it before you sign.
How we're honest with you
Prices are ranges until the scope is locked, because guessing would cost you. The savings estimate comes from your numbers — a starting point, not a promise, and I'll walk you through every assumption behind it. Competitor prices shown are typical list prices, not quotes.
If the software you already pay for is the better deal for you, I'll say so — I don't want a client I made poorer. Questions are welcome before, during, and after — during the call, by email, next month. A customer who fully understands the deal is the entire point of this page.
One person, no departments
You talk to the person who designs, builds, and maintains the thing — same voice on the first call and the tenth. Decisions happen on the call, not in a ticket queue.
Capacity is real: build slots and care plans are capped. If I can't take your work well, I'll tell you straight and point you somewhere honest.
